Xero hosted its annual conference for bookkeepers, financial advisors and accountants in Brisbane earlier this month.
At the event, attended by over 2,000 people, they showcased new product releases and some of the exciting strategic initiatives including automation and machine learning.
The major takeaways from the conference include:
Automation and Machine Learning Technology – With over $1 trillion in transactional data processed over the past 12 months, Xero announced a new chatbot gateway. The idea is that it will allow small business owners globally to talk to and query information within the Xero accounting ecosystem.
Financial Web Expansion Through New Integrations and Partnerships – Xero announced a host of new payment providers, financial lending options and bank feed connectivity, which will help improve small business data integrity and financial insights.
Practice Tools Revamp – Xero launched “Xero HQ” a new global partner program and open practice platform. Xero HQ will allow for a more integrated set of tools for advisors and practices, with a view to improving client engagement services.
In addition to the above, the general view at the conference is that Xero’s platform is increasingly capable of working for mid-market enterprises which should open up new markets and allow for greater innovation in the future.
